U.S. Route 50 east of Lawrenceville was closed for a short time on the afternoon of April 7, when an anhydrous tank that was being pulled by a pickup truck overturned. There were no injuries. The truck driver claimed that the accident occurred when a car pulled out in front of him. County law enforcement, the Lawrence County Ambulance Service and the Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection District all responded to the scene. In the picture above, L-AFPD fireman John Smallwood surveys the situation.
